Regarded as one of the top restaurants on The Isle of Skye and The Highlands of Scotland, The Islay Restaurant is an elegant and welcoming restaurant with a unique contemporary style in keeping with the stylishly modern decor throughout Toravaig Hotel itself. In the evenings a soft relaxing candlelit atmosphere is created to enhance the pleasure of the culinary experience. Lunchtime guests can also enjoy the wonderful views over the gardens, Skye itself, the Sound of Sleat and the mainland mountains beyond.
Open all year round the restaurant has received rave reviews, customer accolades and numerous awards recently including Highlands and Islands Restaurant of the Year 2009/10 and Dining out Experience 2009/2010 as well as 2 AA Rosettes and EATScotland Silver Award from Visit Scotland. Head Chef Chris Brayshay is extremely talented and has established a reputation for excellence. His passion for food, and the rich and plentiful local larder on the Isle of Skye, means that his innovative menus reflect the ever changing seasons using only the finest freshest produce at all times. He is committed to making the dining experience unforgettable from start to finish.
The hotel’s restaurant can seat up to 26 and is also open to non residents – although pre-booking is advisable. Lunch is served from 12.30 – 2.30 and dinner from 7pm – 9pm. The evening menu is a five course delight and is priced at £48.50 per person.
